Alternative score composed during the filmโs development phase

This concept score was composed during the development stage of the short film “Project 0.2” as part of a composer audition process. While a different composer was ultimately selected for the final release, I was granted permission to present my music independently for portfolio use, with credit to the director and production team.
A comprehensive 8-track exploration of the narrative and emotional landscape of the short film “Project 0.2”. Developed as a thematic blueprint, this suite embodies key moments of the drama plot and sonic portraits of characters.
Synopsis
Three executives convince families to sign away their voice in a bid to protect their companies reputation.
Musical Concept
The concept score is structured as a complete scene-by-scene musical arc, following the narrative flow of the short film from opening to final scene. It is built around two contrasting sound worlds representing the executives and the families. These musical spheres unfold in dialogue with one another. The executive world is portrayed as cold and detached, using synth sounds, repetitive melodic phrases, heavy darkened textures, static harmonies, and dissonant overlays. In contrast, the musical language of the families is grounded in acoustic orchestral instruments, with subtle low-synth support used only to enhance a sense of weight without overshadowing the natural sound. Their grief and emotional pain are expressed through restrained yet expressive string melodies, maintaining a minimalistic approach throughout.
